2001 Distinguished Alumni Award Recipient
Cinda Vingers
1977 Secretarial Science, 1987 Supervisory Management
Dairyland Power, Manager - Administrative Services
Cinda is living proof of what can be done when you try! After graduating from WWTC in 1977, she started out as a floating secretary for Dairyland Power; by working hard and proving herself capable of handling any challenge or job given to her, she is now a respected manager for this organization. She supports the college in many ways...part-time instructor, advisory committee member, mentor, speaker, and personal facilitator and speaker for the class tours at Dairyland. She holds a CMP (Certified Meeting Planner) honorary status, serves on CMP's Wisconsin Chapter Board of Directors, and has been recently nominated for their "Meeting Planner of the Year" award. Community involvements include the Big Brothers/Big Sister organization and she is a member of the Advisory Board for the Children's Service Society of Wisconsin
Jeff Komay
1993 Physical Therapy Program
Western Technical College, Physical Therapy Assistant Instructor and Coordinator of Clinical Education
Jeff received a high compliment from his fellow instructors at WWTC when they nominated him for this award, for it speaks to the regard they have for him. He is respected and well-liked at the college for his dedication to his profession and to his students. Leadership is another quality they admire in Jeff, for he guides his students to realize the importance of excellence in the career they have chosen, how to keep current in their field by joining professional organizations, and above all, to become an involved member of their community. He is involved with his church, is a youth football, basketball and track coach, and serves on many committees. A strong believer in continuing education, he has applied for certification through the American Physical Association, has completed WTCS certification courses, and will begin working toward his advanced degree this year.
