Benefits for Western Alumni
If you are a Western graduate, you are welcome to enjoy taking advantage of the many benefits available to you. An alumni membership card may be required for some benefits. Please contact the alumni@westerntc.edu if you need a replacement.
CAREER RESOURCES
Alumni may register for free services, including job postings, career fairs, web services and referrals to other employment service providers. In addition, many valuable resources are available on the career Services website to assist in the job search. Their office is located in the Welcome Center.
If you have a job opening where you work or are looking for a new job, checkout TechConnect , an electronic database which automatically matches jobs with registered graduates and generates letters informing them of the position openings. It is free when you register and provide an email address; there is a $20 fee if you would like to receive U.S. postal mailings.
SHOPPING DISCOUNTS
Visit Savings Connection and enjoy great deals on movies, clothing, electronics, travel, hotel stays, luxury cruises and more. You can now save hundreds of dollars from popular brands online.
Thanks to Downtown Mainstreet, Inc., enjoy money-saving specials in historic downtown La Crosse. Discount cards featuring approximately 30 businesses are available through the Alumni Office.
ATHLETIC EVENTS
Receive free admittance to all Western Cavalier athletic events baseball, men's basketball, women's basketball and volleyball. Check out the Athletics website for game schedules and come out to support the teams!
CAMPUS SHOP
Receive 10% off any Western imprinted items, such as sweatshirts, mugs, pens and many other items. Show your alma mater pride! Located on the first floor of the Kumm Center or check them out online.
LIBRARY SERVICES
Alumni may use all public library services, including web stations, typewriters and copiers, civil service test manuals, and job preparation materials. The library is located on the second floor of the Academic Resource Center. To borrow materials, you only need your student ID or a public library card.
WELLNESS CENTER
Alumni and their families are eligible to join the Wellness Center. Monthly and annual memberships are available. The Center offers state-of-the-art equipment, gymnasium, personal training services, group fitness classes, and massage therapy services. Located in the lower level of the Administrative Center on the corner of 7th and Main Streets.
COMMUNICATION
Watch your mail for the semi-annual edition of Western Connect, a newsletter for Western alumni. Each issue will include stories about alumni, provide updates on the latest news at Western, and classnotes featuring news of fellow alumni. Alumni are encouraged to submit their news-- a new job, marriage, birth or honor-- for inclusion in an upcoming issue.
Stay in touch with the latest news at Western and alumni activities through E-Connect, the electronic alumni newsletter. Be sure the Alumni Association has your email address!

EMAIL ADDRESS
Yes, you can continue to use your Western student email address. Just login at the MyWestern portal or http://login.live.com. You must access your Western email account at least once every 180 days to keep it active, or Microsoft will disable the account and clear the contents. If your account becomes inactive, you can simply reactivate it through the portal.
ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
Thanks to financial contributions from alumni, a scholarship has been established just for alumni who may be coming back to Western. Simply apply through the Foundation scholarship process for consideration.
COMPUTER LABS
Use of the Academic Computer Lab is available to alumni for six months following graduation to prepare documents, such as resumes and application letters, located in the library.
