About the Coach

Jake Kujak

Western women's volleyball coach Jake Kujak has been involved in organized, competitive volleyball for the last 22 years. He began his volleyball career as a junior's club player in Minneapolis, MN for the Team Sota boys program. He was named an All-American player at Club Nationals as a high school senior, and was one of twelve high school players chosen to represent Team USA as a Junior Olympian, bringing home gold at an international tournament.

He began his college career at the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers, playing club ball, and later transferred to Division I George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, where he was awarded a full scholarship.

After college, he continued playing and serving as an area coach, most recently as head coach at Holmen High School. The team finished third in the MCC, with a 8-4 record and 18-12 in match play overall. He recently joined the Viterbo V-Hawk/Wisconsin Power Club volleyball program and was also invited to be the assistant coach for the Badger Region High Performance Boys volleyball program, a program considered to be the highest level of club ball in the state.
