Microsoft Excel™

This seminar is designed for those with a basic knowledge of Excel™ but who want to expand their skills to work faster and more efficiently. This seminar is entirely hands-on so each participant will learn tips and shortcuts to immediately use in the workplace. Topics to be covered include formulas, how to work with workbooks, and how to create a variety of charts. Please bring a flash drive to save your work.

In creating the workbook for this seminar, students will learn how to enter formulas, calculate an average, find the highest and lowest numbers in a range, change column widths and row heights. Students will also learn how to select a range and use the AutoSum button to sum numbers in a column or row. Using the fill handle, they will discover how to copy a cell to adjacent cells. Students will learn how to spellcheck a worksheet, print a worksheet, print a section of a worksheet, and display and print the formulas version of the worksheet using the Fit to option. They will then learn how to use the Chart Wizard to add a 3-D clustered column chart to the worksheet. After completing the worksheet, they will learn how to save the workbook on a flash drive, and how to print the worksheet and chart. Finally, they will learn how to use the Excel Help system to answer questions.

Finally, participants will learn how to add interest and creativity to an existing presentation through use of clip art, sound, and moviesand timing a presentation to run automatically.
