ID Card

You will need an identification card to access many of the services available to students, including the library, financial aid, athletic events, computer labs, free bus pass in La Crosse, and the Wellness Center. Students will receive a non-transferable ID card after attending an orientation session. Cards are issued in Kumm Center, Room 100. Students must be currently enrolled in classes to obtain a valid student ID. Money can be deposited on your card to pay for food in the cafeteria by going to the Student Development Office (Kumm Center, Room 100). Whatever food is purchased in the cafeteria will be deducted electronically and students will always know their balance.

Replacement Cards

Replacement identification card will cost $10.00. If an ID card expires, it will be replaced at no charge.


Copy cards

Copy cards for using copy machines can be purchased from the Cashier's Office in the Welcome Center. You can check your copy card balance by using the print balance inquiry tool.


Market Money

Market Money is a pre-paid debit account that is accessible with your Western ID card. You can use it to purchase food and beverages at the Union Market.

DEPOSITS

Simply go online at https://westerntc.campuscardcenter.com and follow the easy steps to deposit money into your account. Once the deposit is processed your funds are available immediately, and your balances are carried over from semester to the next.

PURCHASES

When you check out at the Union Market present your Western ID card and your transaction will be processed with the swipe of your card.

DISCOUNTS

A 5.5% tax savings is given to all STUDENTS using their Market Money account at the time of purchase. Western employees are not eligible for this discount.

ELIGIBILITY

Market Money is available to students as long as they are enrolled in classes at Western. Employees are eligible as long as they are actively employed at Western.

RESIDENCE HALL STUDENTS

Residence Hall students are required to use Market Money for their dining plan as part of their residence hall contract. Deposit amounts of $500, $600, or $700 must be made each semester.

REFUNDS

Withdrawals or refunds on demand are not permitted for any reason unless you are a student leaving Western for health issues, death in the immediate family, or military service.
