Get That Job
is a co-sponsored event with Western’s Alumni Association. This free event is designed to give you the inside scoop you need to succeed in today’s competitive job market. Join employers from Ashley Furniture, Coulee State Bank, Logistics Health and Organic Valley to learn some of the tips and tricks to get the job you want. Western alumni and staff will also host round table discussion groups and training sessions related to the successful job hunt. Refreshments will be served. Registration is required—email alumni@westerntc.edu to sign up.
Walk-in Résumé Reviews
You don't need an appointment! Just bring your résumé—a hard copy or electronically on a USB Flash drive and we can help you make it even better! If you have never written a résumé and don't know where to begin, don't worry, we can help you get started.
If you are unable to make one of the walk-in review times, you can also email your résumé to directly to careerservices@westerntc.edu for feedback. We can set up a time to go over your résumé in person, over the phone or simply email you back with comments and suggestions.
Interview 101
Interview 101 is an interactive workshop designed to help you sharpen your interview skills. You will learn basic interviewing skills, receive helpful handouts and learn about Western’s web-based practice interview software.
Career Fair
The annual Career Fair is a collaborative event with Western Career Services, the La Crosse Tribune and the WI Job Center Partners featuring over thirty local employers looking to hire. Come professionally dressed with copies of your résumé to share. There will also be an opportunity to have your résumé critiqued and to attend employment related workshops.
