What credits can I bring to Western?
Western offers an opportunity to bring your credits with you. If you've attended other institutions, have previous college credit, and meet the criteria listed, you can receive credit for classes you've already taken.
Transfer credit may be granted for courses completed at other post-secondary institutions if a grade of C or better is attained. Credits may be transferred to Western only if an official transcript(s) is received from each of the originating institutions. An official transcript is a transcript sent directly from the school to Western or delivered in a sealed envelope. In addition to a transcript(s), a "Request for Transfer Credit Evaluation form" must be filled out and submitted to the address on the form.
Once all of these items have been received by Western, an evaluation will be completed and a report showing the credits that will transfer into Western will be sent to the student in the mail. Allow up to two weeks for this process; it might take longer depending on the request. Call 608.789.6131 for more information.
