Neon Leon

Check out these monthly energy updates from Western's hardest- working, energy-conscious frog.

Neon Leon is the name of the tree frog that will work to energize savings at Western. The concept of the tree frog originated at Western in Independence.

The College's "It's Easy Being Green" sustainability slogan centers around a frog logo, and the staff at our Independence location took that frog and brought it to life. They decided to become more aggressive in their energy conservation planning early on, even before the rest of the college. They wanted to create signs and consistent messaging encouraging building users to turn off, turn down, and unplug where needed.
