Career Clusters
Career Clusters are broad groupings of occupations and industries based on commonalities, linking what students learn to the knowledge and skills needed for the workplace. Career clusters provide an organizing tool for any learning environment. There are 16 career clusters in Wisconsin.
Career clusters identify pathways from high school to two- and four-year colleges and the workplace, so students can identify opportunities for the future. This connection to future goals motivates students to work harder and enroll in more rigorous courses.
Career Pathways
Career pathways are subgroupings of occupations having commonalities, including the skills necessary to be successful in those occupations. Each cluster may have two to seven pathways. There are currently 81 pathways identified.
