Lifelong Learning After 2013
Western Technical College is taking a new approach to lifelong learning and non-credit education. This fall will be the last time we offer traditional, classroom-style personal enrichment (non-credit) education, and non-credit courses will not be included in this publication in the future. That being said, we are looking to expand personal enrichment course offerings throughout our service area through partnerships with community organizations and expanded engagement with our students.
In the upcoming months, Western will work closely with our communities to identify community education needs and establish educational programming to meet those needs through service-learning, community engagement, and volunteer activities. We are excited about this new approach to lifelong learning! Our mission is to provide relevant, high quality education in a sustainable environment that changes the lives of students and grows our communities. We believe that with this new approach to lifelong learning, we will continue to meet our mission every day.
