Lifelong Learning After 2013
Western Technical College is taking a new approach to lifelong learning, non-credit personal-enrichment education. The fall 2013 term was the last time we offered traditional, classroom-style, lifelong learning education. We have now transitioned to a new model in providing these offerings, community education.
This new model will enable Western to continue to provide community education offerings of community interest. However, we will use current Western students in the delivering of these offerings. For example, beginner computer workshops will be facilitated by students in our medical administrative professionals program. With more than 60 programs at Western, we feel this approach can be significantly expanded. We are excited about the possibilities this gives us to serve our communities. It will take some time to fully transition to the new model but our goal stays the same, to provide quality experiences for all involved.
If you have any questions about the changes to lifelong learning, please contact Kari Reyburn 608.789.4798, or at email@example.com. You can also visit the community education offerings at www.westerntc.edu/engage/CommunityEducation.aspx.
Western also offers a variety of Professional Development seminars designed to enhance your current career or assist you in meeting your career goals. Seminars are available in leadership, management, computers and technology, small business, manufacturing, safety, trades, healthcare, and much more.
