Twice each year (fall and spring), the college hosts Camp W for area children in grades 4-6. Camp W is a youth enrichment program, which shows children what it's like to go to college for a day. Western faculty and staff volunteer their time and talents to give area children the opportunity to explore special interests in a unique educational setting and to see what the college is all about. From clown skills to sign language, rescue 911 to woodworking, Camp W provides many different course choices. Students can choose up to three different classes to attend throughout the morning. To register, each participant must complete a Camp W form online at www.westerntc.edu/campw. Classes fill quickly, so early registration is encouraged.
