The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and Western Technical College have partnered to offer a new transfer option to students.
As part of the program-to-program articulation agreement, qualified Western Visual Communications students can transfer up to 62 of their credits toward a bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies with an emphasis in Telecommunication at UW-L.
The goal of the agreement is to expand access to UW-La Crosse for Western students and, ultimately, increase the state’s number of four-year degree holders.
"This agreement reflects the level of commitment by both institutions to our students’ success," said Lee Rasch, Western Technical College president. "By combining the educational pathways we provide, we give these students a new avenue for reaching their goals."
The articulation agreement is retroactive to Western students enrolled in the Visual Communications program since August, 2004. It is one of several transfer opportunities between the two colleges.
