Western offers seminars for business women

Western Technical College’s Business and Industry Services Division is offering two seminars for women at the Tomah Campus, 120 East Milwaukee St.
“Assertiveness Workshop for Women” will be held Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. This seminar will focus on how many women can become assertive without being labeled. Participants will learn strategies for turning hesitancy into powerful decisiveness; how to say no and be free from anxiety; how to be in command of emotional situations; how assertiveness changes with age; understanding and coping with different personalities; how to express your needs constructively; and how to thrive with a poised and confident approach.
“Thriving as a Professional Woman” will be held Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. This seminar will focus on successful tips to help women thrive in a professional role, including how to use emotions as an advantage; how to build supportive relationships; how to respond to conflict; and how to use body language and voice control.
