Western women’s volleyball team takes second in tournament

Western Technical College women’s volleyball team took second this weekend in the Wisconsin Junior College Athletic Association State Volleyball Tournament. The Western Cavaliers defeated UW-Washington, UW-Marathon and UW-Fox Valley in pool play, and defeated UW-Marshfield in the semi-finals before falling to Madison Tech (the number two ranked team in the country for Division 3 Junior Colleges) in the finals.

The Cavaliers will advance to the NJCAA Regional on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 along with Madison Tech against the top two Minnesota seeds for a chance to advance to the NJCAA National Tournament.
