Western hosts College Transfer Day event
Published on Tuesday, February 10, 2009
Western Technical College will host a College Transfer Open House on Tuesday, Feb. 17 from 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. in the Kumm Center TC Café on the La Crosse campus. This event is free to attend and open to the public.
The Open House provides students, graduates, parents, and future Western students the opportunity to speak with four-year colleges to learn about existing transfer options, including the new associate of science transfer degree. Representatives will be available to discuss 2+2 agreements, allowing two-year college associate’s degree graduates to transfer to four-year colleges and universities with junior-year status. Representatives will also talk about program transfer options, which allow students and graduates to transfer some or all of their college credits from Western programs.
Colleges represented at the event will include: Milwaukee School of Engineering, Silver Lake College, St. Mary's University of Minnesota, Upper Iowa University, UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse, UW-Platteville, UW-Stout, UW-Superior, Viterbo University, and Winona State University.
