Western Technical College’s Business and Industry Services Division is offering three “Lessons in Leadership” seminars in the month of November. All sessions will be held on the La Crosse campus.
“Developing a Mission Statement” will be held Thursday, Nov. 5, from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
A mission statement provides a broad sense of what the organization does and wants to be. It can help employees understand their role in the company and help customers understand the values you hold. In this session, you will learn strategies for developing a mission statement in your organization.
“Empowering Teams” is offered on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Participants will review the benefits of working as a team, identify possible sources of resistance to working as a team, and learn the keys critical for great teamwork.
“Document, Document, Document” will be held Thursday, Nov. 19, from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. This session will discuss how to document incidents, accidents, and behaviors so the truth is obvious and legally indisputable.
Sessions can be taken independently, and cost $29 per session, including lunch. For details on these and other seminars, visit westerntc.edu/bis. To register, contact the Business and Industry Services Division at 608.785.9232 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
