Published on Friday, August 26, 2011
Western Technical College’s Professional Development division is offering “Spanish for Healthcare Professionals” on Wednesdays, Sept. 14 through Oct. 5, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. The class will meet in La Crosse at the Coleman Center, room 205, and will be offered simultaneously via interactive television to Western locations in Mauston, Independence, and Viroqua.
This course will allow family practitioners, physicians, pharmacists, healthcare providers, nurse practitioners, ER personnel, hospital administrators, and medical assistants to communicate with Spanish-speaking customers, clients, or patients in a healthcare setting. Participants will learn key words and phrases to communicate in a particular context. This is not a conversational Spanish class.
