Starting in January, area child care providers will be able to attend Western Technical College in Viroqua and Mauston to take college credits that meet training requirements. This is the first time the classes will be offered via interactive television (ITV) to Western’s regional locations.

A three-credit Child Development course starts Tuesday, Jan. 15, and provides an overview of development from prenatal to age eight. It is approved by licensing as an introductory course for assistants and is part of the Preschool credential.
