VIROQUA, Wis. - Western Wisconsin Technical College (WWTC) is sponsoring a seminar to help Viroqua businesses improve their bottom line. “An Overview of Lean Six Sigma” will be held Thursday, Jan. 27 from 8:00-9:30 a.m. at WWTC’s Viroqua campus, 220 South Main St.

Designed for CEOs, business owners, managers, supervisors and administrators, the seminar will define the business strategy Lean Six Sigma. Growing in popularity, Lean Six Sigma is a philosophy of doing business with a focus on reducing waste and improving the processes and products of manufacturing companies.

Guest speakers Fazi Amirahmadi and Joe Slattery, manufacturing extension agents from Northwest Wisconsin Manufacturing Outreach Center at UW-Stout, will discuss how Six Sigma tools can be used to improve all business disciplines, including production, sales, marketing, design, administration and service.

The event is free and open to the public. Coffee and rolls will be provided. Reservations are required and can be made by calling WWTC Campus Administrator Al Hanson at (608) 637-2612 by Friday, Jan. 21.
