LA CROSSE, Wis. - In honor of National Pride in Food Service Week, Western Wisconsin Technical College (WWTC) is recognizing the staff, faculty and students dedicated to the food service industry with a special presentation.

On Friday, Feb. 4, Dr. Sabra Mumford, dean of WWTC’s Family and Consumer Sciences Division, will award Pride in Food Service pins to the 20 individuals involved in food service and production in the TC Café through the Culinary Management, Food Production Specialist, and Dietary Manager programs. The honorees will wear their pins the following week. The approximately 50 students enrolled in the programs will receive special Pride in Food Service pens to mark the occasion.

“We’re hoping that the pins will remind customers to thank our Food Service staff and faculty for the great job they do, not only preparing meals every day for over 1,200 people, but also providing a wonderful training site for people who are interested in the food industry,” said Mumford.
