INDEPENDENCE, Wis. - Western Wisconsin Technical College (WWTC) is sponsoring a seminar to help Independence businesses improve their bottom line. “An Overview of Lean Six Sigma” will be held Friday, Feb. 25 from 8:00-10:00 a.m. at WWTC’s Independence campus, 36084 Walnut St.

Designed for CEOs, business owners, managers, supervisors, and administrators, the seminar will define the business strategy Lean Six Sigma. Growing in popularity, Lean Six Sigma is a philosophy of doing business with a focus on reducing waste and improving the processes and products of manufacturing companies.

Guest speakers Fazi Amirahmadi and Joe Slattery, manufacturing extension agents from Northwest Wisconsin Manufacturing Outreach Center at UW-Stout, will discuss how Six Sigma tools can be used to improve all business disciplines, including production, sales, marketing, design, administration, and service.
