WWTC offers customer service seminars

Western Wisconsin Technical College is offering a three-hour seminar that will help people develop or improve their customer service skills. Our Service is … the Difference will be held at five WWTC campuses in May and June.
Times and campus locations are as follows:
Independence: Thursday, June 9, 5:00-8:00 p.m.
La Crosse: Tuesday, May 17, 9:00 a.m.-Noon; Wednesday, June 8, 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Mauston: Tuesday, May 17, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Tomah: Tuesday, June 7, 8:30 a.m.-Noon
Viroqua: Wednesday, June 1, 5:30-8:30 p.m.; Monday, June 20, 8:30-11:30 a.m.
The seminar is designed for anyone who interacts with customers, including people in the hospitality industry, salespeople, those who work in retail, receptionists, administrative assistants, food service employees, cashiers, and front-desk employees. The curriculum was developed by the Wisconsin Department of Tourism and the Wisconsin Technical College System. Topics discussed will include how to deliver exceptional customer service, what you can accomplish through exceptional customer service, and how you can instill a sense of community and pride in Wisconsin’s workforce.
Class facilitator Kay Brauner is a professional trainer who has worked with firefighters, law enforcement officers, hospital and clinic employees, teachers, librarians, housekeepers, dieticians, carpenters, and managers. She has also been a high school science and chemistry teacher, county social worker, and clinical psychotherapist. Brauner and her husband live in Black River Falls, Wis.
