Western Wisconsin Technical College is offering free classes at the Sparta GED Center for area adults who wish to review basic skills or prepare to take the General Education Diploma (GED) or high school equivalency tests. Students may enroll in the GED, HSED and GOAL (Goal-Oriented Adult Learning) classes starting Aug. 30 and can join the classes anytime during the semester, which ends Dec. 22. These free, individualized classes are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m.-Noon; and Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5:00-9:00 p.m.

Adults who plan to return to work, seek a better job, or enter the workforce are encouraged to enroll. Adults needing review of Math, English, and Reading skills prior to enrolling in a post-secondary education program are also welcome. To participate, students can register with the GOAL instructor during class times at the GED Center, located at the back entrance of 103 S. Water St. in downtown Sparta.
