WWTC students collecting food for local agencies
Published on Friday, November 04, 2005
Western Wisconsin Technical College students from La Crosse, Black River Falls, and Independence campuses will be conducting a food drive for their communities on Nov. 9-11. Collections will be taken near the main entrance of the two extended campuses and in all WWTC buildings on the La Crosse campus.
Donations of nonperishable items in non-glass containers are especially needed, including soups, tuna fish, peanut butter, spaghetti sauce, noodles, canned fruits, and canned vegetables. Monetary donations will also be accepted in the extended campus offices and in Room 100 of the Kumm Building, 400 6th St. N., in La Crosse.
Collected items will be given to local agencies whose mission is to fight hunger. The
La Crosse donations will go to The Hunger Task Force of La Crosse, Black River Falls donations will go to Project Christmas, and the Independence donations will be given to local food pantries.
