WWTC offers wireless network course

Western Wisconsin Technical College is offering a three-day course on Wireless Networking and Wireless Security. The class will be on Tuesday, Dec. 13 and Thursday, Dec. 15, from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, Dec. 17, from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. in Room 205 of WWTC’s Business Education Center, 405 8th St. N., La Crosse.
Designed for system and network administrators, participants will learn the skills necessary to design, configure, secure, and manage a wireless network environment.
Topics include a crash course in wireless Ethernet RF and antenna design, 802.11 wireless Ethernet standards, wireless risks and vulnerabilities, wireless security protocols, wireless policy development, 802.1x, commercial wireless security solutions, wireless attacks and exploits, and wireless auditing and monitoring.
