The Western Technical College Foundation will be hosting the fall session of Camp W - Kid’s College on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 8:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Western’s La Crosse Campus.
Twice each year (fall and spring), the Western Foundation hosts Camp W for area children in grades 4-6. Camp W is a youth enrichment program, which shows children how it feels to go to college for a day.
Western faculty and staff volunteer their time and talents to give area children the opportunity to explore special interests in a unique educational setting and to see what the college is all about. From car care clinics to Lego fun, architecture to self defense, Camp W provides 20 different course choices. Students are able to choose three different classes to attend throughout the morning.
Each participant must complete a Camp W registration form, which is available online at www.westerntc.edu/campw. Classes fill quickly, so early registration is encouraged.
Completed registration forms and registration fees ($21.00 for three classes) must be turned in by Friday, Oct. 6 to the Western Technical College Foundation office located on the third floor of Western’s Administration Building on the corner of Seventh and Main Streets in La Crosse, or mailed to 304 6th St. N., P.O. Box 908, La Crosse, WI 54602-0908. All checks should be made payable to Camp W.
