The recent passage of the Tomah Area School District referendum has given direction to Western Technical College as it pursues relocating its campus to downtown Tomah.

“We are pleased that we can continue working with the Tomah School District on the sale of our current facility,” said Lee Rasch, president of Western Technical College. “Our next step is to have more detailed discussions with the school district leaders and establish some timelines.”

College officials will also meet with CenturyTel and the Community Theatre group to work out the details for the purchase of the downtown building.

“We believe this new campus location will have a very positive impact on Tomah’s downtown revitalization, as well as future expansion for Western,” Rasch said. “We are eager to keep the process moving forward.”
