Western Technical College is offering free classes at its extended campus locations for area adults who wish to review basic skills or prepare to take the General Education Diploma (GED) or high school equivalency tests. GED, HSED and GOAL (Goal-Oriented Adult Learning) classes start Monday, Aug. 27. Students can join the classes anytime during the semester, which ends Dec. 20. Western’s extended campuses are located in Black River Falls, Independence, Mauston, Sparta, Tomah, and Viroqua

Adults who plan to return to work, seek a better job, or enter the workforce are encouraged to enroll. Adults needing review of math, English, and reading skills prior to enrolling in a post-secondary education program are also welcome. To participate, students can register with the GOAL instructor during class times.
