Western Technical College is hosting a first-ever reunion for all graduates and faculty of its Industrial Technologies programs. The events will take place on Saturday, Sept. 22 in La Crosse.

The reunion is an opportunity for graduates from Agriculture, Automotive, Diesel and Heavy Equipment, Electronics, Graphics, HVAC, Machine Tool, Manufacturing, Mechanical Design/Drafting, Welding, and Wood Tech programs to reconnect with fellow classmates and current or former instructors.

Activities will include a breakfast for Agriculture program alumni and faculty from 8:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. at the Corner Bistro in the Kumm Center; campus and department tours from 9:00-11:30 a.m. beginning each half-hour in the Kumm Center cafeteria; historical displays on the progression of the Industrial Tech programs from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. in the Kumm Center cafeteria; lunch from 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. in the Kumm Center cafeteria; an open house at the new Automotive/Diesel Training Center from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at 2719 Larson St. in the Industrial Park; and a social from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Howie’s Hof Brau & Loons, 1128 La Crosse St.

“Western has held smaller program reunions in previous years, but this is the first reunion for the entire Industrial Technologies division,” said Sally Emerson, alumni relations director. “Industrial Tech programs have been an important part of the college since it was founded in 1912, and we would like to honor the graduates and staff who have been a part of this history.”
