LA CROSSE, Wis. – Western Technical College students will hold their annual Car Care Clinic in Viroqua on Saturday, October 6th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This popular event for Viroqua residents is entering its 31st year. This year’s event will be held across the street from Nelson Agri-Center. The event is free of charge, although donations are accepted. The event is co-sponsored by Western and the Nelson AgriCenter in Viroqua.

First and second-year Western Automotive Technician students perform basic preventive maintenance inspections for the public. The car care inspection includes engine systems, related trouble codes, cooling, suspension, steering, tires, brakes, exhaust, lighting, air conditioning and driveline. If problems are identified, participants are encouraged to seek the services of an automotive service center of their choice.

“The Car Care Clinic is a great way for students to interact with customers and get great hands-on experience diagnosing vehicles,” says Brian Kanable, Western Automotive Technician program head/instructor. “The students look forward to the event and so do I.”
