Students may qualify for free tuition in new Western program
Published on Tuesday, July 01, 2014
Western Technical College is offering a Sales Management pathway program at no cost to qualified students. The pathway approach allows students to earn credentials that lead to jobs and, if the student is interested, to progress through the pathway to career advancement and qualifications.
In October of 2013, Western Technical College, as part of a state-wide consortium, was awarded a Federal grant. With the help of the grant, Western has created an industry validated curriculum for high demand jobs in the La Crosse area. The new pathway consists of four credentials that lead to family wage jobs: Front Line Service Certificate, Customer Service certificate, Sales Representative technical diploma, and Sales Management associates degree.
The courses will be offered at the La Crosse campus and in the evening. Space is limited. To be considered for free tuition, students must be 18, accepted to Western, and attend an information session. The next information session will be held Thursday, July 24, from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. in the Business Education center, 405 N. 8th St.
For details on the information session or to register, please contact Tonya Wagner at firstname.lastname@example.org or 608.785.9098.
Western’s Sales Management associates degree is a two-year program. The program develops interpersonal, technical, business and sales skills necessary to be successful in range of managerial and sales roles.
