Agribusiness goes beyond the production of food and fiber to include the processing, manufacturing and distribution of food and fiber in the global marketplace. As food production becomes more competitive and technical, farmers increasingly rely on specialists for technical assistance and management advice. This program provides the training required to obtain an entry-level position in the agribusiness industry.
The current shortage of trained technicians for this industry is providing many opportunities for interesting and well-paid careers. Graduates of this program are qualified to work in feed mills, fertilizer plants, farm supply outlets, grain elevators and related businesses and in the fields of conservation, recreation, turf management, technical consulting and livestock production.
