The MSMT program will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to install, repair, troubleshoot and modify machinery and automated systems in manufacturing and food production environments. Elements of the program include basic training in the fields of welding, machine tool, electronics installation and maintenance, safety, Lean concepts and heating/air conditioning. This prepares you to critically analyse and repair manufacturing systems.
The program consists of several embedded technical diplomas from three main program areas: industrial electronics maintenance, machine tool, and welding. Because of the flexibility of this pathway program, you may enter at varied times of the year.
A pathway is a laddered approach to career training. This approach allows you to earn manufacturing technical diplomas that lead to jobs and, if interested, you can continue advancement for higher paying and higher skilled positions.
