Spring Showdown Tournament - April 20th, 2013
- 3 player minimum 4 player maximum on each team
- $30 per team – includes tournament t-shirt
- Half court game – scoring by 1’s and 2’s
- Games up to 15 win by 2 or up to 20, or 25 minute time limit
- 2 play in games to determine which bracket team is in (Bracket 2-0, 1-1, and 0-2)
- Following play in games double elimination bracketed tournament
- Each team is guaranteed to play 4 games
- Registration Deadline: April 10th, 2013 5pm
- Winners receive gift cards to local restaurants
Western Technical College and Viterbo University have combined efforts to bring an Intramural/Recreational Sports program that will offer any student, faculty and staff member the opportunity to participate and compete regardless of skill level or experience. One can be involved in team play in either men's or co-rec divisions. For students, faculty and staff, Intramural Sport Leagues are FREE (except bowling). Our Intramural Sports Program promotes development of a healthy body, social interaction, good sportsmanship, acquiring knowledge of lifelong leisure sports, a healthy outlet for emotional and mental stress, and most importantly is FUN!
Sportsmanship
Integral to the philosophy of Viterbo/Western Intramurals is that good sportsmanship and fair play are vital aspects of Intramural competition. It is necessary for the successful operation of the program that individuals display proper conduct in all instances.
The Sportsmanship Rating System is intended to be an objective scale by which teams'
attitudes and behaviors can be assessed.
