Internet of Things Integration Specialist
The Internet of Things (IoT) is changing the way work is done across all sectors. There will continue to be a high demand for skilled individuals who understand both Operational Technology (OT) and Informational Technology (IT) to design, implement, and maintain various systems. The Internet of Things Integration Specialist program will provide you with the foundational technical skills to implement Smart Technologies across multiple platforms from the device to the enterprise level, apply solutions based on data analysis, and troubleshoot systems.
Interior designers make indoor spaces functional, safe, and beautiful by determining space requirements and selecting essential and decorative items, such as colors, lighting, and materials. They use creativity, technical knowledge, and aesthetics to create solutions that improve the function and quality of interior environments.
In this program, you will develop a strong foundation in computer-assisted design, furnishings, lighting, textiles, and sales. You will learn the fundamentals for success in the field, including designing interiors for residential and commercial spaces.
Graduates can work in a variety of settings, such as residential design/architectural firms, kitchen and bath studios, furnishing manufacturers, construction companies, and sale showrooms.
Mechatronic and Robotic Engineering Technology
This program is designed to provide you with the skills needed to enter the growing field of mechatronic and robotic systems. Highly paid technicians in this field are responsible for setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications of programs in a wide array of computer-controlled industrial and manufacturing operations.
You may also choose to continue your education with engineering bachelor's degree transfer options.
Starting in Fall 2021, Western will be offering unique opportunity to earn advanced manufacturing credentials in Precision Machining and Programming or CNC Operation through Competency-Based Education (CBE).
This method of instruction allows you to progress through coursework based on your ability to prove you have mastered the material. Once you have mastered a skill, you move to the next skill. You’ll work with instructors who provide one-on-one learning support.
