If you’re a food service manager with a desire to expand your career potential, explore our certificate program for dietary manager/food service supervisor. In this role, you’ll add to your skills with additional training in nutrition, food safety, and management for use in non-commercial facilities such as long-term care facilities, hospitals, schools, or correctional institutions. Working with a registered dietitian, you’ll determine the nutritional needs of your clients and oversee the preparation and serving of nutritious meals. You will be required to apply skills learned in these areas as a field experience component in a pre-approved dietary setting under the direction of a registered dietitian.
The program is accredited by the Association of Nutrition and Food Service Professionals and courses are part of the Associate of Applied Science degree in Culinary Management. Graduates are eligible to take a national credentialing exam to become a Certified Dietary Manager/Certified Food Protection Professional.
