No matter what your profession, developing competency in the use of standard computer applications for business is a plus. Building on the Microsoft® Office Basic certificate, this certificate provides advanced-level training in Microsoft application software. You will learn to develop presentations, databases, spreadsheets, and other documents, and learn the fundamentals of business meeting and event planning. These courses can be delivered onsite at your workplace, if requested.

Western Technical College uses ACCUPLACER, a computer-based, online assessment that measures your abilities in reading, sentence skills, and arithmetic. This information will be used to place you in courses that best fit your academic goals. Based on your scores, you may need to take additional general studies course(s) along with the general studies courses required for your program.
