Request Campus Visit
Western welcomes and encourages students to visit any of our locations prior to enrolling. If you are already enrolled at the College, we encourage you to participate in the campus tour that is part of New Student Orientation.
Program Shadows
We encourage prospective students to participate in a program shadow. You will have an opportunity to tour your program facilities, meet with an instructor, and talk to students to find out what it is like to be a student at Western. If you are interested in a program shadow, complete the Program Shadow Request Form. We will provide you with the contact information to schedule the program shadow.
General Campus Tours – La Crosse Campus
General campus tours are one hour long and depart from the Welcome Center, 400 Seventh Street North. You may park in the lot. Parking permits are available in the Welcome Center. This is a walking tour encompassing several blocks. Please dress appropriately for the weather. These are group tours.
The tour covers the following areas: Welcome Center, Residence Hall, Wellness Center, Academic Success Center, Math Lab, Union Market, Student Development Office, Campus Shop, Library, Academic Computer Lab, and Assessment Center.
If you would like to learn more about your program and see the program facilities please request information for a program shadow as well.
General campus tours are available Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. during the school year while classes are in session.
Tours will not be available on the following dates:
- March 12, 14, or 16 – Spring Break
- April 6 – Campus Closed
Tours will end April 25th, 2012
Please schedule your tour a minimum of one week in advance.
We are still in the process of finalizing summer and fall tour dates. When that is finished we will make the sign-up form available to you.
Self-Guided Tour
The self-guided tour offers you the opportunity to explore Western at your own pace. Following along a typical General Tour, this guide contains brief descriptions and pictures of campus facilities.
A self-guided tour packet is available at the Welcome Center. A mobile application is available online.
The Welcome Center is open during the following times:
- Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
