Western Technical College’s Business and Industry Services Division is offering the following workshops and training opportunities at the Black River Falls Campus:
“Workplace Etiquette” will be offered Tuesday, March 4, 1:00-4:00 p.m. No matter what kind of environment you work in, you are probably spending most of your work day surrounded by other people. Too often, the close proximity with other people can turn simple misunderstandings into full-fledged office tension and conflict. This can lead to decreased productivity and job satisfaction. In this seminar, instructor Roxanne Smothers will focus on some of the basic principles of workplace etiquette and will help you get along with and appreciate your co-workers. Cost is $72.
“Creating and Protecting Your Professional Image” will be offered Wednesday, March 19, 1:00-4:00 p.m. Instructor Roxanne Smothers will discuss how image has an undeniable impact on your personal success and the success of your organization. As an ambassador for your company, your image sends a profound message and it is not just about the way you dress. How you enter a room, how you respond when under attack, and how you handle awkward situations says a lot about your image and reputation. This session will help you identify your personal style and what it says about you. It will then give you the tools to correctly set the stage for each and every interaction. Cost is $72.
