Western offers business & industry seminars for March in Viroqua

Western Technical College’s Business and Industry Services Division is offering the following workshops and training opportunities at the Viroqua Campus:
“File Management” will be offered Wednesday, April 9, 1:00-4:00 p.m. with instructor Lisa Smith.
The workshop is intended for those interested in efficiently managing files and folders. In this hands-on session, participants will learn how to manage multiple files within drives and folders; create a hierarchy of folders; move files and folders within that hierarchy; create new folders within folders; about file extensions and file size; and about defragmentation, scanning files for viruses, and disk cleanup. Cost is $72.
“Supervision Essentials” will be held Tuesday, April 22, from 9:00 a.m.-Noon with instructor Brandee Alexander. Designed for those who are looking to develop supervisory skills, this seminar will introduce several of the essential skills of a powerful supervisor – communication, planning, delegating, maintaining a positive attitude, and more. Cost is $72.
“Excel Formulas” will be offered Wednesday, April 23, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. with instructor Mary Nowaczyk. This session is designed to teach the fundamentals of creating and entering formulas into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. Participants will gain hands-on practice with formulas and spreadsheets and are encouraged to bring in any current workplace project to directly apply what is learned. Cost is $72.
