More than 400 students in the Goal Oriented Adult Learning (GOAL) program at Western Technical College will be honored at a graduation ceremony scheduled for Friday, June 5, at 7:30 p.m. at the La Crosse Center in downtown La Crosse.

Participating graduates will include those from the following programs of instruction: High School Equivalency Diploma, General Educational Development, Adult High School, and Alternative High School.

The graduation ceremony will feature four student speakers: Mae Stanles of La Crosse, Bruce Rose of Tomah, Willie Mae Gillespie of Onalaska, and Christina Henning of Ontario.

The keynote address will be delivered by Peggy Meyers, Education Director of Adult Basic Education for the Wisconsin Technical College System.

Western offers GOAL programs in nine locations throughout the college’s district. Additional services offered through Western’s Instructional Support Services Division include English Language Learners classes (ELL), Developmental Courses prior to post-secondary training, COMPASS Test Preparation, Basic Skills/Review, and High School Credit courses.
