Western Technical College’s Business and Industry Services Division is offering the program “Healing Touch” for health care practitioners. Level 1 will be held Friday and Saturday, June 5-6, from 8:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Level 2 will be Saturday and Sunday, August 7-8, from 8:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. All sessions meet at the La Crosse campus.
The Healing Touch program at Western is a certification activity that allows health care practitioners to earn up to 35.5 continuing education contact hours. Level 1 begins with 15-18 contact hours of instruction, allowing persons with varying backgrounds to enter, acknowledging their previous learning and to further develop concepts and skills in energy-based therapy. Level 2 is for students who have completed Level 1 and wish to increase breadth and depth in the study of Healing Touch with 15-17.5 contact hours.
Each level includes both instructive and experiential learning in which participants practice and share experiences using energy-based healing techniques. In addition the program encourages the developing practitioner to enhance skills and knowledge through recommended readings and practice sessions. There is also a strong commitment to personal growth and knowledge of holistic health principles.
