Western Technical College is offering a sneak peek at the progress they have made in their new downtown Black River Falls location, at 24 Fillmore St. The event will take place on Tuesday, April 19, from 3:30-6:30 p.m. The public is invited to stop by anytime during the open house.

At 3:45 p.m., Western president Lee Rasch will give special recognition to the Lunda Family and the Co-op Credit Union for their generous support of the new facility.

Remodeling started on the 18,000-square-foot, former IGA building in late summer 2010. The first phase of interior construction was completed in January, allowing spring semester classes to be held in the new location. Exterior site work is scheduled to begin this summer. The second phase to create additional distance learning classrooms and an area dedicated to the nursing program will begin in spring 2012.
