The Western Technical College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the International Honor Society of the Two-year College, was recently named to the Society’s Top 100 Chapters of 2011. Western was the only college in Wisconsin to be included on the list.

The Top 100 Chapters, as part of the Hallmark Awards competition, are determined by averaging each chapter's score for the Distinguished College Project category and the Distinguished Honors in Action category.

The Hallmark Awards are based on competitively-judged applications, and recognize individuals, chapters and regions for excellence in the Society's Hallmarks of Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Fellowship as exemplified through Honors in Action activities.
