The La Crosse area has a variety of opportunities for personal enrichment, some that have been available for years but are not widely known. Western Technical College is hoping to provide some exposure to these existing programs by hosting a Personal Enrichment Fair. The event will be held Thursday, Feb. 6, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. in the Lunda Center, 319 7th St. N., La Crosse. It is free and open to the public.

From 3:00-4:00, the event will feature a presentation on Learning in Retirement by representatives from the Office of Continuing Education/Extension at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Learning in Retirement is a learning community established to help meet the wide range of interests of the area's growing number of retired men and women. The community offers educational courses and social activities for its members.

From 4:00-6:00, attendees can visit various community organizations’ booths to learn what they offer for personal enrichment/hobby education.
