WWTC offers Small Business Operations/Entrepreneurship Class at Sparta, BRF

BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. - Western Wisconsin Technical College (WWTC) is offering a Small Business Operations Class for people who are considering starting a business or for current business owners who are looking to improve their operations. The class will be held in both Sparta and Black River Falls.
The course will cover the basics of how to get started, establishing a market niche, legal aspects and permits, marketing, planning, procuring financing, feasibility of the idea and plan, basics of business planning, and the development of a strategic direction. Over 200 entrepreneurs have participated in these classes in the last two years.
In Black River Falls, the class meets on Monday evenings (seven sessions) from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the WWTC Black River Falls Campus, beginning February 7. Call 715-284-2253 for more information or to register.
In Sparta, the class meets Wednesday evenings (also seven sessions) from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at the Sparta High School, beginning January 26. Call 608-269-5303 between 5:00-7:00 p.m. to register.
The public is encouraged to register and is invited to preview the first class to find out more about the content.
The facilitator for the course is Gary Kirking, campus administrator for WWTC’s Black River Falls Campus. Kirking has worked with over 200 area businesses to improve their business operations. He has received statewide recognition for his work with entrepreneurs and small business, and has consulted and presented programs for entrepreneurs and business owners in Russia, Denmark, and Ireland.
