LA CROSSE, Wis. - As part of a class project, students in the Accounting program at Western Wisconsin Technical College (WWTC) will be holding an original product sale on Wednesday, March 23. The sale will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. outside the cafeteria in the Kumm Center, 400 6th St. N., La Crosse.

Each year, students in the Cost Accounting course are divided into teams and asked to develop their own businesses by applying the skills they have learned in the class. The students are then asked to implement their business and record their success. The sale of merchandise is one of the final stages of the project, but is critical to determining the overall success of the team.

This year, there are a variety of products ranging in price from $2.50 to $12.00. The following is a listing of the teams and the products they have created to sell:

• Sew Cool Fabrications will be selling 100 percent cotton beverage coasters. There are six styles to choose from, including green/gold and purple/gold for local sports fans. Coasters can be purchased in sets of four or individually.

• C&C Kreations will be selling candy- and coffee-themed Easter baskets. Arrangements may also include stuffed bunnies, crayons, and/or bubbles. E-mail to pre-order.

• Gentle Touch, LTD will be selling 4.5 oz. bottles of scented moisturizing lotion. There are two scents available - Cucumber Melon and Lily of the Valley.

• Pillow, Inc. will be selling puppy dog and baby chick fabric tie pillows for Easter, Mother’s Day, or any occasion.
