Western Wisconsin Technical College (WWTC) has rescheduled its Super Saturday event for area childcare providers. The new date is Saturday, April 30, from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the WWTC La Crosse Campus. The event, originally slated for mid-March, was cancelled due to inclement weather.

The schedule for this continuing education opportunity remains the same. Participants will choose from 28 workshops covering topics such as storytelling, Montessori, stress management, SIDS, snacks for kids, and kindergarten readiness. Keynote speaker Denyse Olson-Dorff from the Department of Behavioral Health-Child and Adolescent Section at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, will share information and insights about development tasks of the preschool period and the challenges these tasks pose for the early childhood care provider.

Those who registered for the original event are automatically registered for the revised date, and there is still room for additional participants. The fee for the day’s activities is $35.40 (persons 62 and older pay $24). Pre-registration is required and is open 8:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. on Friday by calling 789.6000 or 1.888.615.2183, or visiting Room 129 of the Coleman Center, located at 6th and Vine Streets in La Crosse. The registration deadline is April 26 and space is limited.
