Western Wisconsin Technical College offers a Supervisory Management program that will allow participants to earn an associate’s degree while continuing to work full-time. An information session about the program will be held Wednesday, Nov. 2, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Room 102 of WWTC’s Business Education Building, 405 8th St. N., La Crosse. The public is invited to attend this free event.
The Supervisory Management program is designed for people interested in acquiring or improving managerial or supervisory skills with a business emphasis. Today’s requirements of technical expertise and high productivity are addressed in this program. Students learn about diverse topics, including safety, diversity, project management, team building, quality, legal issues for supervisors, and leadership.
There are two options for completing the program: online learning and accelerated learning. The online learning program will be completed through online courses with instructors from business and industry. Students can access their classes from any location at any time. The online classes begin Monday, Jan. 16. The accelerated learning program will meet one evening per week in a cohort group format, which means the students will attend classes with the same team from start to finish. The next cohort group will begin in January in Tomah and September in La Crosse.
